CPR CHALLENGE ATTEMPTS GUINNESS WORLD RECORD

Gold Coast community members participated in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record at Wet’n’Wild Water World for the most number of people trained in CPR at multiple sites.

The CPR challenge was hosted across various locations throughout the state and launched the Queensland Ambulance Service’s Ambulance Week 2007.

The Guinness World Record attempt was conducted simultaneous across Queensland from 2pm – 3pm on Monday 10th September.

The event was facilitated by experienced CPR for Life trainers and provided free step-by-step instructions on how to apply CPR using new resuscitations guidelines in 15 minute intervals throughout the day.

The CPR challenge aimed to increase community awareness of how and when to perform CPR as well as being able to recognise the signs and symptoms of a heart attack.
